This class is your vocal playground—a safe, playful space where mistakes are part of the fun, and you can embrace your voice without the pressure of perfection. You’ll leave feeling empowered to take up space—in life, on stage, and everywhere you want to be heard.

Why are you teaching this class and what are your credentials?I’m Dana Lewis—a trauma-informed vocal coach, educator, proud mom, singer, and performer. For over 20 years, I’ve been guiding people of all ages and abilities to find their voice, express themselves confidently, and experience the joy that comes from unapologetically taking up space with their sound. Who am I really? I’m all about integrity and living a life with deep purpose. I feel most fulfilled when I’m aligned with my values, helping others find their own brand of fulfillment. That’s why I created this profession: to guide people toward joy, confidence, and freedom in expressing their unique voices. Watching someone come back to themselves through their voice brings me immense joy. My personal journey with voice began as a child, singing loudly and unapologetically, but over time, I started quieting my voice to please others. Thankfully, voice lessons helped me reclaim my power and joy in singing, teaching me to take up space and express myself freely. That’s what I aim to help others achieve, especially women with ADHD and neurodivergent minds. As someone who has faced my own struggles with learning differences and neurodivergence, I deeply understand the challenges of feeling unseen or unheard. These experiences fueled my passion for self-advocacy and led me to earn a Master’s in Special Education. Now, I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals, tailoring my teaching to meet their strengths and needs. I create individualized learning experiences, and I’m always ready to pivot to follow my clients’ interests, whether in private lessons or group settings. I’m also committed to ongoing education. My vocal pedagogy training includes the Alexander Technique and movement for voice, teaching contemporary commercial music , musical theatre, and classical styles as well as research based best practices in vocal coaching and learning. I perform across a wide range of styles—jazz, folk, world music, opera, pop, and musical theatre—allowing me to help my clients explore their voices in any genre. As a certified nervous system arts practitioner, I integrate nervous system awareness and self-regulation to support both voice and overall well-being. This class is more than just vocal technique—it’s about reclaiming your voice and discovering how your voice is your superpower. I’m honored to guide you through this fun and meaningful journey, helping you express your true self with confidence, joy, and freedom.

What if I'm nervous about singing in front of the class? No pressure! As a group you will decide when you are ready to start singing for each other. The beauty of online lessons is that you have complete control over when and how you participate. Our community is incredibly supportive, encouraging, and a safe, judgment-free space to explore. Here, mistakes don’t exist—there’s no right or wrong in expressing your voice, only growth. We’re all learning together, and you’re in charge of your journey.
From My Voice to Yours
I’m Dana Lewis—a trauma-informed vocal coach, educator, performer, and a proud neurodivergent woman. For over 20 years, I’ve helped people find their voice and take up space, unapologetically.
My journey wasn’t easy—like many of you, I’ve felt misunderstood and silenced. Singing and reflection helped me reclaim my power and realize I didn’t need permission to be heard—my voice was enough. By unleashing my authentic voice, I learned my neurodivergence wasn’t something to fix, but to embrace. Now, my greatest joy is helping others do the same.
In addition to my vocal pedagogy training, I earned a Master’s in Special Education to reimagine how we can celebrate neurodivergent minds rather than shaming them. With years of experience as both an educator and vocal coach, I’m uniquely qualified to help neurodiverse singers connect with their strengths and express their true voice.

In my classes, we embrace the fun, the messy, the just-barely-holding-it-together, and everything in between. I offer a personalized approach to teaching that meets you where you are, helping you:
-
Unlock your unique vocal power
-
Build confidence
-
Find joy in expressing your true self—both on and off the stage
It’s a beautiful act of rebellion to prioritize your voice, your goals, and your needs—and I’m here to guide you on that journey, with compassion, boldness, and joy.
